因為在研讀Northanger abbey中提到一些浪漫詩人像雪萊Shelley 我因此而搜尋了這首詩 致雲雀 還有一首叫 西風頌 “Ode to the West Wind”

回來台灣進入第三個月了，六月、七月、八月三日了，女兒開始寫五年級數學題目也數週了，今天聽她與爸爸通話中，她考爸爸她做過的梯形面積，說她很喜歡算數學，還有她回美國時會比同學厲害，似乎十分喜悅，我沒有料到她會如此，但也很欣慰，因為每次要她寫作業，她一直給我臭臉看，我就很生氣和失望，有時會覺得自己何必為孩子這麼辛苦。

I finally got to meet 12 old friends from high school. It has been 30 years. We all looked different but still had some old traits. Some of them are civil servants and some are teachers, some are accountants, one is a professor. Only one of them stays at home just like me. Her husband works in China and is not home most of the time. Most of them have children approaching college age.

I spent three days in designing my new business card. I am not sure if it is good enough. Which one do you like best?

I have started to read this novel in Chinese. I thought there were many more characters in the novel, but actually it was not true. I hope I will be able to write the summaries of the six novels soon, so that I can speed up my own book and get it published. Writing is not easy. Yet I am determined to give it a try. I will be the benefactor of my own effort if not others.

我讀完了中文版的勸導

I made this chart over one year ago and now I have the opportunity to revise it. It looks better than the first time.

I have finished the charting of Jane Austen's 3 novels: Emma, Sense and Sensibility, and Northanger Abby.

Today when Laura and I walked by the Danshui MRT station to take a bus, we saw this person again. There were a crowd surrounding him. A fat kid was touching him. He is a real person but acts like a statue. 

在美國看到有關寫筆記本的介紹都比較柔性，抒發情感回憶，這是多年後再一次讀日本式的筆記術。在日本這類howto的書很多是男性寫的，總是與讀書事業成功畫上等號。

I just started to work on the new book The Ramen King and I. The problems I face right away are the Japanese terms/cultures, golfing terms, and the trombone.

昨天女兒沒回來，去參加紅毛城三天兩夜的夏令營，我突然覺得很寂寞，甚至覺得心痛，原來想讓她自己回去美國讀書，現在我想可能會很痛苦，還是放棄吧。
